Sega Europe Appoints Mark Smith
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd. continues to expand its UK based R&D team with the appointment of Mark Smith as Electrical Design Engineer.
The Cardiff based team is growing as the significance of Sega's locally produced and localised products increases inline with the company's future development plans.
Mark joins Sega with 24 years Electrical and Mechanical Design Engineering experience in the industry having worked for JPM and most recently Gamesoft.
The team in the past have designed the Out Run2 SP deluxe with its famous F360 rear end and recently created the successful Ford Racing Full Blown. The latter of which is now being shipped to America, China, and even Japan based on its performance in Europe.
The R&D team in addition to their normal manufacture and production control is currently working on three new projects, which will come to life during the London preview and ATEI 2007.
Nigel Allison, Operations Manager at Cardiff, commented "It is a pleasure to welcome Mark into the Sega team. The experience and skill set which Mark brings with him will enhance the team and allow us to rise to the challenges which lie ahead over the next few years".
