The 11,000-plus non-UK buyers that are expected to attend January's London shows, can now apply for their free admission tickets online. The facility, which also includes an automated visa assistance service, is available at
www.atei-exhibition.com The London shows, which comprise the co-located ATEI, ICE and ICEi, take place across the 23rd, 24th and 25th January at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre.
John Fenna, Head of Marketing at Clarion ATE, believes that the online registration and visa service is an essential feature for exhibitions which attract such a large proportion of non-UK visitors: "Of the 24,913 buyers who attended the 2006 London shows, 11,315 were from outside the UK with 118 nations represented on the show floors. To give some context to this figure it is over 60 per cent of the 191 member states recognised by the United Nations." He added: "Our online system has been set up to recognise those jurisdictions that require visas to enter the United Kingdom and automatically generates invitation documentation for visitors to submit to the British High Commission or Embassy in support of their applications. We recognise the immense effort and resource that our customers commit to attending the shows and hope that the visa service will help expedite their journey to London."
The thousands of buyers that do attend will be privy to ATEI's first truly dual level exhibition. For the first time the providers of gambling equipment and services will be located on the ground floor of Earls Court 1 with video, amusements and novelty equipment situated on level 1 of Earls Court 1. The changes to the floor plan have created an additional 8,000 square metres (86,080sq.ft.), making the 2007 edition of the London Show the biggest on record with a total of 27,000 square metres (290,520sq.ft.) of exhibition space.
