Merit Entertainment Trains Chinese Customs Officials
In an effort to stop Merit copies from leaving China, Robert C. Fay, Merit's Director of Government Relations, conducted training sessions late March 2007 in the Guangzhou Customs District, the Huangpu Customs District and Shenzhen Customs District.
Assisting Mr. Fay in the training sessions were Frank Ballouz, Vice President International, Louie Chong of the Harbour Group Shanghai's office and Xilin Shen of Baker & McKenzie law firm.
"Chinese Customs has a great reputation, and we were pleased with their interest and commitment in working with us to stop Merit copies from leaving China," Fay stated. "In addition to the training on how to detect Merit copies, we provided them with a list of known Merit copiers. I'm confident that these three training sessions will pay dividends for us in the future."
