ICE ships 1,000th Deal or No Deal redemption game
Innovative Concepts in Entertainment (ICE) has officially shipped its 1,000th Deal or no Deal redemption game. The game made its debut at the ASI show in March 2007, and has only been in production for only a few months; however it has proved to be one of the most popular redemption games released this year.
The officially licensed Deal or No Deal game features game play similar to the hit TV show, however rather than playing for cash, a large number of tickets are up for grabs. Joe Coppola, Vice President of Sales for ICE stated, "While the TV show and the license have certainly added to the credibility and success of our coin op game, we believe more than anything else the game play of Deal No Deal is what carries the earnings and revenues and has made this the most successful redemption game of 2007. This game simply lends itself to being a great skill redemption game. The ability to win big ticket amounts adds to the excitement and the Double Deal feature that was added to the coin op game, which allows the players to win even more tickets, has proven a huge success!"
Coppola pointed out the mass appeal of Deal or No Deal, with the game enjoying popularity with often overlooked groups such as females, young children and older adults. Coppola continued, "The earnings of this game have been such that many operators are reporting the game pays for itself in just a few short months. The game has shown really an amazing return on investment, especially for a redemption game."
