ATEI 2008 continues to expand, with five companies announcing that they will be increasing their ground floor stand space at the event. The move is being heralded as a massive vote of confidence for the new Earls Court layout, which made its debut in January 2007.
MDM Leisure will be taking its biggest ATEI stand yet at the 2008 show, increasing its floor space from 148sqm (1,593sq ft.) to 256sqm (2,755sq ft.). The company's Martyn Gunter believes that ATEI 2008 will include a hive of new product activity, and that MDM Leisure will play an important role at the 2008 show: "We had to increase the size of our stand space because we're going to be showing a throng of new, very diverse products at ATEI. I think new products are going to the theme of the 2008 show. Due to the uncertainty generated by the UK Gambling Bill, the industry has been holding back many new ideas. I think January will be the first time in a long time we can release products confident in a climate of stability."
UK coin-op and amusement product distributor Crown Direct is another company that will increase their stand space at ATEI 2008, upgrading from 563sqm (6,058sq ft.) to 645sqm (6,941sq ft.). On his company's growth, Crown Direct's Dean Harding confirmed: "I believe it is crucial for a company like Crown Direct, a company with a vast array of gaming and amusement products, to have an impressive presence at ATEI 2008. We simply couldn't exhibit everything we want to at any other show. I'm also of the opinion that the industry has had a year to get used to the new layout and expect returns from ATEI 2008 will supersede 2007."
Other companies that will be increasing their stand space at ATEI 2008 include online gaming company Play4Win / WettPunkt, Nova Productions, and AWP specialists AMG.
