The Chinese coin-op market is currently enjoying an abrupt period filled with innumerable business opportunities, and is characterised by a sense of optimism and new hope. GTI Asia Hong Kong Expo 2007 aims to be the ideal solution to connect companies from all over the world to the expanding Chinese market, with the exhibition constructed as a prime location and meeting point to advertise new products and obtain potential business opportunities.

Many representative Taiwanese firms have already taken commanding positions for their operations in China, with the cultural and geographic advantage they hold playing a major role against all competition. Taiwanese company Tom's World is planning to further expand, hoping to establish 250 operational sites in China within the space of three years. Meanwhile, Taiwanese company Dino's World already owns one location in Shanghai and Dongguan, respectively. Further to this trend, a few firms from Hong Kong and Japan have also established good bases in China, and are making good progress in the market.

The trend reflects the growing popularity of amusement products and the amusement sector in China. More and more arcade centres have been emerging throughout China, and are becoming increasingly popular in many metropolises such as Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Beijing.

Despite the unfavorable policies that are against the operation of gaming machines in China, many small and mid-sized towns are demanding more gaming devices, with demand often outstripping supply. The Ministry of Culture of China has implemented policy regarding opening example cities of game locations in China, which more or less addressed the demand on amusement machines that is surging day by day throughout the country.

In addition, statistics show that China has more than 600 third-grade cities, and each of them has a population exceeding 500,000. This means that there is presumably room for the release of up to 10,000 licenses, which would certainly help fill demand. The rules of the China market also stipulate that all import invoices should not be less than an amount of NT20 million, which has contrarily stimulated the amount of orders of amusement machines.

Another regulation currently in place in the Chinese market is that gambling machines and similar gaming devices alike are prohibited throughout the country, and this includes displaying them at an exhibition. For this reason, amusement games and products comprise the majority of the exhibits displayed at exhibitions in China.

GTI Asia Hong Kong Expo 2007 will be held from the 7th-9th of November at Hall 7a, Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Many companies have already finalized their participation in GTI Asia Hong Kong 2007, including: AXIONTEK, Bigigo, Bao Li, BORDEN, Coinopexpress, Da Ya , Da Bei, Fortune Tech, Golden Royal, Hong Ji, Jeng Dian, JinJangLi Development, JT-Comatz , KNT (Japan), Micro Sova, Ming Da, RiChuang, Shin Shyh Jih, Shuang Ying, Song Yung, Sun Pu, Tai Tin (Hong Kong), Taiwan Fulgent, Wai Lee (Hong Kong), Xian Feng, Yatta Lunta Denshi Kaisha (Hong Kong), Yue Hua, ZhangShan G-Look, ZhongShan Luck & Jinying , Yi Ding, Yuan Fa, Xin Yuan, and Wei Ye.
