The International Flipper Pinball Association has announced details for the 2007 IFPA-AMOA Pinball Championship. The tournament will take place at the Stern Pinball booth (#2220) at AMOA 2007, which takes place from the 27th-29th of September at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Participation in the tournament is easy, and everyone who attends the AMOA Expo is eligible to take part. Prizes include a share in the generous cash pot, an autographed and framed Stern Spider-Man translite, Tilt: The Battle to Save Pinball DVD, other Stern translates and goodies, as well as World Pinball Player Ranking Points which will be up for grabs. Entry into the tournament costs $10 per player, with the funds going towards the prize pool. Players will then play one or two games, which will determine their qualifying score. When qualifying is over, players will then be seeded into an elimination bracket based on their individual scores, and Head-to-head Match Play then begins.

The IFPA have also announced that they will be staging a split-flipper high score team tournament, where one player takes the left flipper while their partner takes the right flipper. Entry to the event will cost only $1 per player per game, and the highest score at the end of the weekend wins the event.
