Virtual Queuing System showcased at IAAPA Expo
Monkwood Technologies showcased their virtual queuing technology at the IAAPA Attractions Expo, held Nov 13-16 in Orlando, FL. The virtual queuing technology uses a cell phone, wristband and scanning platform to eliminate queues at theme parks by automatically contacting guests when it is time to ride.
The first installation of the virtual queue system has already taken place with the Flamingo Land theme park, zoo and holiday resort becoming the first theme park to provide this cell phone solution. The virtual queue system ensures guests do not have to stand in queues to ride the venues seven most popular attractions.
In announcing the agreement, Gordon Gibb, Flamingo Land's CEO, stated "we offer guests innovative and cutting edge personalized experiences. I'm really excited to be able to give our guests a world-first and at the same time enhance our operational management and customer communication systems."
The system offers much more than just a means to avoid having to stand in queues, Colin Nunn, Monkwood's CEO, added "we provide lost child help, CRM systems, operational statistics, communication systems and means of altering crowd dynamics."
