Medalist release Spectrum pool table
Medalist's new multi functional Spectrum pool table is now shipping. The Spectrum Pool Table is available as a traditional coin-operated model with an Imonex coin mech, or alternatively, it is available with a Flex-Tec Electronics system which allows for play, time and price programmability as well as bill acceptance through a bill validator and stacker.
The pool table can be easily converted to the alternative option at any time. A coin-operated Spectrum table can be upgraded to a Flex-Tec Electronics version without raising the slate, simply by installing the kit into the second coin door. The electronic table can easily revert to coin-only operation by removing the kit, and there is no need for the operator to lift the slate.
"Electronic pool is fast becoming the industry standard, and our new Spectrum pool table is at the head of the class," said Medalist Vice President Chris Peppard. "Now operators and distributors do not have to inventory different tables for different needs. The Spectrum is easy to configure immediately and update in the future – without having to lift the slate or modify the table."
Medalist's Spectrum pool table dimensions are 3.5 feet wide by 7 feet long, with the table featuring sturdy three-quarter-inch plywood with two steel slate support beams, and a one-piece molded ball return system. The magnetic cue ball separator is easily adjusted, and all balls including the cue ball are 2 ¼" in diameter.
The Flex-Tec Electronics system includes an LCD screen that shows pricing options and doubles as a monitor for programming. It includes standard game and time pricing, each with two bonus levels, speed pool, programmability for happy hour promotions, and time and day pricing levels.
