Virtua Fighter 5 R has officially been launched in Japan. Virtua Fighter 5 R is the latest upgrade available for the popular fighting game, with a variety of new features added including two new characters.
Virtua Fighter 5 R sees the return of sumo wrestler Taka-Arashi, making his first appearance since Virtua Fighter 3. The other new character is Jean Kujo, who practices karate. With the addition of the new characters, the total playable character roster has been brought up to 19.
A new feature which uses the VF.NET service has also been added called 'Fight Development', where players train with their character and learn new moves during battle.
