Merit Entertainment has released the new 2009 software for their Force and Ion systems. The software was introduced at the AMOA show in Las Vegas, and features 14 new games as well as updated content for classic Megatouch games.
The update brings with it a raft of new games across a range of genres including casino games, card games, sports games, trivia games and even a dating game. Games available include Avalanche Jack, My Ex, Triple Crown Boxing, Skee-Ball and Trivia Whiz 2. The software was beta tested earlier this year, with the new games proving popular with players. Based on feedback from players, some games have been altered by Merit and contain improvements over the Beta versions.
"Our dedication to the operator is clearly shown by our consistent stream of new and high-earning software releases," stated Bob Mills, Merit's Vice President of North American Sales. "We are proud to continue to support operators with new software for their hardware purchased as far back as 2000, offering the most comprehensive value to purchasers of our products."
Merit also unveiled their new Megatouch Aurora Widescreen countertop at the AMOA trade show. The Aurora Widescreen includes over 150 touchscreen games, including the new games as part of the 2009 software update. The countertop has a 19 inch LCD screen, and also includes room for a media sidebar where operators can run advertising and promotions.
"With the Aurora Widescreen we've designed a product that serves the players and the operators extremely well," said Colin Higbie, Merit's Director of Marketing. "Players will love the simplified account creation and experiencing their favorite games on the widescreen interface. Operators will love the automatic software updates, no Tournamaxx fees, and enhanced earnings provided by the advertising and credit card capabilities."
