Razing Storm
Namco Bandai Games have announced a new arcade light gun game, Razing Storm. The game will run on the Playstation 3 based System 357 arcade hardware, and is set in South America in the year 2030 with players taking on terrorists as part of the Special Forces unit SCAR.
Razing Storm will feature a new machine gun controller that shakes and generates sound through a speaker in the gun. The cabinet has a 62 inch monitor, and will also utilise 5.1ch DTS Digital sound. Like Namco's popular Time Crisis series, the machine will also feature an action pedal which allows you to take cover and avoid gunfire.
Razing Storm looks to make some improvements on the traditional light gun game by including destructible environments and advanced enemy AI, with enemies reacting to your movements and their surroundings rather than following pre-set patterns.
Razing Storm will be released in Q1 2009, and is expected to be shown at the AM show this week.
