Textminator - LAI Games
LAI Games will release four new products during the IAAPA International Expo, to be held November 18-21 2008, Orlando, Florida. New titles include Texting game Textminator, photo machine Starblitz, and two variations of LAI's popular Stacker machine - Mini Stacker and Double Up Stacker.
Alan Freimuth, LAI Games CEO stated, "LAI's mission is to offer high-quality, creative, revenue generating products at an affordable price. To meet this goal, LAI has invested heavily in R & D and the results of that investment will be displayed at the IAAPA show. These products demonstrate the out-of-the-box game play experiences LAI has come to be known for."
One of the games to debut, Textminator, is based around mobile phone text messaging and is aimed at a teenage demographic. Textminator is a ticket redemption machine which includes two mobile phone text pads attached to the cabinet. Up to four Textminator cabinets can also be linked with up to 8 players able to verse one another.
There are two play modes - Race the Clock and Championship Mode. In Race the Clock players must text random sentences before time runs out. If you complete the sentence in time a more challenging sentence appears, with tickets awarded based on the amount of sentences completed. Championship Mode adds an extra challenge to gameplay, and players are able to store their name in the Textminator Hall of Fame.
Another new product from LAI is Starblitz - a Photo Booth with three different modes of play - Quick Mode, Fun Mode and Graffiti Mode. Quick Mode is the basic mode, delivering 6 images to the customer. Fun Mode offers more options including design elements to enhance photos. Theme Mode offers even more options to the customer to personalize their photo, including the ability to transform the image produced into a cartoonish image. Photos can also be downloaded instantly to a Bluetooth or Infra-red capable device.
LAI will also be releasing two new versions of their popular Stacker machine that offer more flexibility for operators. Mini Stacker is half the size of the regular stacker and offers 2 or 3 major prize arms and 3 or 4 minor prize arms. Mini Stacker also includes a rear cabinet attachment point and coin & prize door locking positions for extra security. Double Stacker is a ticket dispensing Stacker with new features including Double Up and Super Bonus levels. With the Double Up feature, players can earn double the tickets and can choose to continue to reach the Super Bonus for maximum tickets. Operators Selectable Programming gives operators the power to control the ticket payout at each level including the Super Bonus Level.
