Official Attendance figures for the first co-located Fun Expo and Amusement Showcase International have been released by show organisers. Held March 11-13 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, the total attendance for ASI was 2,028, with the total attendance of Fun Expo reaching 1,015. ASI boasted 96 exhibitors, with 250 booths, while Fun Expo added 82 exhibitors, with 140 booths.
"We were pleased to be joined this year by Fun Expo," said AAMA President Mike Rudowicz. "The combination of the two shows and the influx of visitors from the International Pizza Expo kept the show floor busy all three days."
Dorothy Lewis, chairperson of the IALEI Board of Directors, added, "When we originally planned the new date and co-location no one had anticipated the economic challenges we were to face these past months. That along with the six month turnaround from the September Fun Expo we did get to see that people are serious about their businesses. Owners and operators were eager to see what they could add or include to maintain and stimulate their businesses. It was refreshing to welcome twenty-nine Rookies and Newcomers who invested time and money to learn the ins and outs of our industry."
Amusement Showcase International and Fun Expo International will once again be collocated at the Las Vegas Convention Center next year, on Wednesday March 10 - Friday March 12, 2010.
