B.E.R (Bowling Event Rimini) 2009 wraps up
The second edition of B.E.R. (Bowling Event Rimini) wrapped up on March 18th in Rimini, Italy. Held simultaneously with ENADA Spring, the shows drew a total of 25,545 trade visitors (1.5% more than 2008), of whom 2,810 were from abroad (9% up on the previous edition).
Although there was not a large amount of exhibitors at B.E.R, those present were the major companies in the bowling market. High profile exhibitors included Qubica-AMF, Steltronic, Brunswick (taking part with its Italian distributor, Si-Line) and Switch Entertainment.
Visitors were ensured an excellent overview of everything traditionally involved in bowling (for example, lanes, pinsetters, scoring systems, balls and pins), and also a first-hand close-up of technical accessories (such as the disposable socks by Milan firm Abiprom).
Gabriella Zoni, Rimini Fiera project manager for the two trade shows, stressed, "We noted good curiosity and interest all round, which showed that valuable interaction was created between B.E.R. and ENADA. There again, the idea of combining the two expos, and therefore linking bowling and gaming, came after realising that the crossover between the two worlds is in fact rapidly increasing at world level."
Facto Edizioni manager Danilo Tosetto added, "A trade show at its second year just has to be at the 'running-in' stage, still taking shape and growing. The outcome of B.E.R. 2009 was positive, but we're nevertheless aware of the fact that there are ample margins for improvement. Our commitment is to start work as of now on an even richer and more complete 2010 edition."
