Konami has confirmed their lineup for the upcoming AOU Show (19th-20th February, Japan). The company will focus on new Music games and Medal machines at the show, with products such as Jubeat Knit, GuitarFreaksXG, DrumMania XG, DDRX 2, and Infinity Rings set to be shown.
Jubeat Knit will mark the third game in the popular Jubeat music series since the series launched in 2008. It follows Jubeat Ripples which was released mid 2009 in Japan, but has yet to be released in other regions. No information is known about the new version, but it will likely include new songs and various gameplay tweaks.
Music games Dance Dance Revolution X2, DrumManiaXG, and GuitarFreaksXG will also be shown by Konami. DrumManiaXG includes a few new changes to the usual DrumMania cabinet setup, making it even closer to a real life drum set than ever before. A Left Cymbal, Hi-hat Pedal and Floor Tom have all been added for this version.
GuitarFreaksXG includes several new changes, including huge speaker stacks - one on each side of the main cabinet. There are now 5 buttons instead of 3 on the neck of the guitar. The buttons used depends on the difficulty level selected - Basic and Advanced use only 4 buttons, with Extreme setting using all 5 buttons.
Other confirmed games to be shown by Konami at the AOU show are Quiz Magic Academy 7, We Mah-Yong Shin (Mahjong), InfinityRings (Medal), Shogi Association Tenkaichi, Castlevania: The Medal (Medal), TwinkleDrop (Medal), PanicPirates (Medal), Fortune Trinity (Medal), and Millionet (Medal).
