Patent License agreement reached over Winner's Cube
Benchmark Games has entered into a license agreement with Andamiro USA, allowing the company to continue selling the game "Winner's Cube" in the United States. Al Kress, chairman of Benchmark, said the arrangement would continue to protect Benchmark's United States Patent for a "Grid Skill Amusement Game or Dispensing Device" registered under number 6,315,157.
Winners Cube is a prize game where players must control the movement of a slim rod which is mounted onto a motorized mechanism. The rod moves horizontally and vertically, with the player using the two buttons on the control panel to control direction.
Satinder Bhutani, president of Andamiro USA Corporation indicated that his sales force is most anxious and pleased to represent and market this popular amusement game on a worldwide basis. Bhutani went on to state, "We have been leading the frontline in the amusement and gaming industry ever since our establishment, and through the years, we have become a distinguished institution that has been acknowledged throughout the world."
Kress continued by stating, "Benchmark manufactures the popular game "Drill O Matic" which is also covered by the licensed patent. Plus, we hold patents on many other amusement games the company has become so well known for in the industry. Anybody importing or selling an unlicensed copy of "Winners' Cube" or similar game may infringe our United States patent."
