EAG Expo Sales Move Into Second Phase
Following last year's successful launch, organisers BACTA have been busy improving the show and hall layout and rebooking the companies that took part at the first event. With this first phase successfully completed the show is now open to all companies wishing to participate and book space at the show.
Martin Burlin, Chairman of EAG Expo, was typically upbeat. ''The start to EAG 2011 has been absolutely fantastic. 30 of the major exhibitors have already booked, almost half the hall is taken. We would like to see everyone in the amusements industry join us at EAG'', but says Burlin, ''if you want a stand, you need to move quickly as space is going fast''.
EAG Expo was a much needed success story for an amusement industry that continues to struggle with uneven markets and a recession. After some year's absence as an exhibition organiser, BACTA re entered the London scene with EAG Expo as it felt that the industry needed an event dedicated to the needs of the industry and run by people who understood the business. EAG Expo was well received by everyone involved, breaking records as the biggest trade launch event ever seen at venue ExCel London and going on to attract over 5,000 visitors, 40% from overseas.
Burlin concludes ''We invested in EAG because the industry desperately needed it. The success of EAG 2010 was cemented by the fact that exhibitors turned inquiries into sales. BACTA continues to invest in our industry and we will continue to develop EAG as a showcase for the best in the amusement world and as a place where business can be done. Please join and help us continue to help the industry we love''.
