Tom Williams, Universal Parks & Resorts Chairman and CEO, To Address Attractions Industry Leaders at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2010 in Orlando
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) today announced Tom Williams, Universal Parks & Resorts chairman and CEO will be the keynote speaker at the General Managers' and Owners' Breakfast at IAAPA Attractions Expo 2010. The event will take place Wednesday, Nov. 17, 8:30 a.m. ~ 9:45 a.m., in Room S320 of the Orange County Convention Center.
The General Managers' and Owners' Breakfast, sponsored by CNL Lifestlyle Company, LLC, provides a forum for attractions industry professionals to learn from the experiences of successful top-level industry leaders. This year, participants will benefit from Tom Williams' more than 40 years' experience in the hospitality industry. He joined Universal Studios Florida in 1987 as part of the project's opening team and led the group that designed and developed all operational aspects for the new theme park, which opened in 1990.
Williams has served as chairman and CEO since September 1999. He oversees Universal Studios Parks & Resorts, including Universal Studios Hollywood theme park and Universal CityWalk in Hollywood, California; as well as Universal Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida, which consists of Universal Studios Florida, Islands of Adventure, three hotels, and Universal CityWalk.
He also oversees the international operations of Universal Parks & Resorts in Japan and Singapore, and the development of theme parks in Dubai and South Korea. He is a graduate of California State University in Fresno, California.

''Tom will provide a fresh perspective on adding a large, multifaceted area to a well-established park, as well as offer the wisdom he has gained working for more than 40 years in the hospitality industry.''
While the event is geared toward executive and management-level professionals, it is open to all IAAPA Attractions Expo 2010 registered participants. Tickets for the General Managers' and Owners' Breakfast are US$85 for members and US$119 for nonmembers in addition to expo registration.
