Project poised to release first bingo terminal
Project Managing Director Tony Boulton has confirmed that the company is close to testing its first ever compendium bingo terminal. World of Bingo, which comprises four very different games, is the product of a nine-month programme of player research and product development, one of the longest R&D regimes undertaken by the games developer.
Previewing the latest Project initiative, Tony Boulton said: "This is a new product sector for us and there's obviously quite a steep learning curve to come to terms with. When the R&D team started on this project nearly a year ago the original plan was for it to be a single game. However quite quickly we established that the response was much more positive to the compendium format. Taking into account the profile of the target market it was important to provide players with a lot of screen space to differentiate game styles and also to make the game a sit-down, allowing the market to play in comfort.
"It's very important that if you test products with players then on the basis of their feedback you are prepared to challenge your original position and in some cases implement quite fundamental changes, which is what we did. I'm pleased to say that the outcome is a game significantly better than the concept we began with."
The Project bingo terminal, which is housed in a new slant-top, sit-down cabinet, is on a restricted initial test at selected locations.
