Embed and Playsafe enter deal to expand business across UK and Europe
EMBED, provider of Debit Card, Redemption Management and Point of Sale Systems for the amusement and family entertainment industry, and Playsafe Monitoring, provider of gaming machine management and monitoring systems in the UK and Europe, are pleased to announce that they have reached agreement to merge the two businesses. Under the deal, Embed will conduct all of its UK and European business through Playsafe which will become part of the Embed International Group and be rebranded as "Embed Playsafe".
For more than 20 years Playsafe Monitoring has been the UK industry's leading supplier of systems for amusement and gaming centre venues and with a large installed base of systems has built a reputation in the market for its high quality products and services. Behind the company is a dedicated team with a huge amount of industry experience headed up by Playsafe founder Mr David Stenning.
Under the deal with Embed, Mr Stenning will remain as a key shareholder and Managing Director and will be joined by Embed's Chairman Adam Steinberg in leading the business which will offer the existing Playsafe product range together with Embed's systems for Redemption management, Debit Card Cashless, Point of Sale and Event Scheduling.
Commenting on the deal Mr Stenning said, "I am extremely pleased with this new relationship and the possibilities it offers. Embed has a fantastic product range, a great team of like minded people and objectives much in line with our own. The potential we have going forward with our merged businesses and eventually merged products is very exciting not just for us but also our customers".
Internationally the combined group is the world's largest provider of systems for amusement and leisure facilities with more than 1000 systems in operation. Embed Chairman Adam Steinberg also stated that "with the combined resources of both Playsafe and Embed the new venture will be able to offer operators of all kinds of amusement, gaming and entertainment venues across the UK and Europe a unique suite of management systems."
