38th ENADA Amusement & Gaming Machine Show a Sucess
The 38th edition of the ENADA Amusement & Gaming Machine Show, organised by Rimini Fiera with the patronage of the AAMS (Italian State Monopoly Administration), ended last Friday at Fiera di Roma. Organisers have reported 14,406 trade visitors, a rise of 7.7% on 2009.

Occupying over 30,000 m2, ENADA hosted 200 companies from the coin-op world: from new slot machines to video games, pinball machines, billiards, and table soccer, as well as all the equipment for amusement venues, including technologies, furnishings, fittings and services for arcades and bingo halls. The show also included a complete range of proposals regarding online gaming (bets, internet stations, lotteries, Texas Hold'em poker) and gaming offered by Web licensees.

Another topic of interest at ENADA was the imminent arrival of VLT on the gaming/game market. For 2011, according to estimates by MAG Consulenti Associati, the new units could ensure takings of between 18 and 19 billion euros, which could rise to 27-29 in 2012 and 30-32 in 2013. At the show, there was a focus on Bingo. The excellent period gaming is currently going through was highlighted at a conference organized by JEA srl and Rimini Fiera SpA, during which the AAMS (Italian State Monopoly Administration) stressed the 25% increase in takings in the first nine months of 2010. This was also for tax relief, which freed new resources for investments.

ENADA also hosted the very successful Rome Pinball Tournament, a contest in which players from all over Europe took part, including current world Champion Daniele Acciari, crowned "Best Pinball Player 2010" at the last edition of the Pinball World Championship, held in May in Minneapolis. The final winner was Holland's Rene Van Gool and second place went to Brenn Oosterban, from Sweden. Alongside the main tournament, there was also daily tournaments held, both of which were won by France's Frank Bona.

The next gaming and amusement show, ENADA Spring, will be held at Rimini Fiera from March 16th to 19th 2011.
