Ball Spectacular from Namco
The first to be released from Namcos new Fun-To-Win range of ticket redemption machines is Ball Spectacular, which is unlike any other redemption machine currently in the market.
The game features a cascade style gameplay, and simplicity and skill are both key factors in this game. As balls cascade down, players must try to aim the ball through the '5 ball gate and jackpot gate' which will release more balls, and as the balls continue to fall they pass through the 'Point gate' earning themselves tickets.
"So many redemption games are simply new versions of the same thing. Ball Spectacular is something totally different and yet it has the important factors required by a hit redemption game – it's simple yet requires a lot of skill to play – so the replay value is high," says John Crompton, Regional Sales Manager at Bandai Namco/Brent Sales, "Most importantly, it is lots of fun, as balls cascade in all directions with lively colours and fun sound effects. This has translated into massive cashbox takings on site test."
The machine utilises all the usual elements that have lead to these kinds of redemption machines being such a beloved part of shopping centers, arcade centers/areas and pubs: bright colours, sound effects, and the short and simple gameplay concept. However, the cascade style of gameplay makes it standout to what's currently available.
