At his presentation at the Southern Pinball Festival, Gary Stern revealed Stern Pinball will be releasing an in-home, free-play, entry-level, Transformers pinball machine called The Pin. Designed by Vice President of Gaming Development, George Gomez, the machine is lighter, smaller and simpler to play, making it an excellent addition to any game room.
The Pin is made for the casual or at-home player who may not have the skill level to fully enjoy everything other pinball machines have to offer. The machine has a smaller cabinet, is half the weight of regular pinball machines and is designed for easy assembly, however it still has a full playfield, full gameplay, three-ball multi-ball action, with commercial flippers, bumpers, spinning cube target, and drop targets. As Stern repeatedly emphasises, this is not a toy, it is real pinball made for the less hardcore players.
