Groove Coaster was originally created as an application for iPhone, iPod Touch, iPad, etc. The premise of the game is quite simple, very fun and suitable for all ages and difficulty levels. As the song plays a bird shaped light sweeps across the screen on a track (like a cart on a roller coaster), coming into contact with balls of light along the way, and as the light-bird sweeps across these bubbles the player must tap the screen.
The same premise applies to the arcade version, except that the game uses two, single-buttoned controllers as the control as opposed to tapping the screen.
In the lead-up to JAEPO this week, Taito has been releasing teaser tracks that will feature on the arcade version of Groove Coaster, which you can listen to on the Groove Coaster Official JAEPO website. The tracklist currently includes:
