The Newcastle Pinball Association proudly presents their third annual event, Pinfest 2014-Festival of the Silver Ball - a charity festival for pinball collectors and enthusiasts to dust off their machines and meet like-minded individuals.
Pinfest 2014 aims to bring together collectors and fans to really showcase what pinball culture is all about and present gaming culture as it existed before home electronic consoles exploded onto the market, and as always, it will be raising money for the SIDS and Kids charity which is dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and supporting bereaved families.
The festival will feature a number of modern, retro and vintage pins which will be set to free-play for attendees to enjoy. Collectors and enthusiasts will be coming from all over the place (some will be coming from interstate) to show off their machines and answer questions about pinball.
Last year's event saw 1400 visitors over the two day festival and the event was a smash hit, with visitors coming out from all over Australia. This year, with over 50 pins currently booked to exhibit, the NPA is gearing itself up for another big weekend event.
Also, don't forget to check out the Pinball Competition on the Saturday night after the general exhibition; with some of the best competitors in the country battling it out, it is sure to be some great entertainment.
The festival will be held at the Caves Beachside Hotel on Saturday September 27st from 9:30am-1pm and then from 2:30pm-6:30pm, and on Sunday September 28nd from 10am-3pm. Entry is $10 for a single admission and $20 for a family admission.
