Bandai Namco Games has announced that Time Crisis 5 will be released in Japanese arcades in February 2015, with a full international release date confirmed. Get excited, everyone!
Time Crisis is a classic arcade shoot-em-up game and the release of a fifth instalment has been hotly anticipated by pretty much anyone who has ever played a Time Crisis machine. It was first released in the mid 90s, gaining a large following very quickly and its popularity has spawned various sequels and spin-offs. Until now, the most recent time we saw Time Crisis enter the market was with Time Crisis 4 in 2006, and Razing Storm (spin-off) shortly after in 2008.
The potential release of a Time Crisis 5 arcade machine in the near future was something that was being talked about not that long ago, after Namco confirmed meetings concerning this machine (among others), however I don't think anyone anticipated a release would follow-up the leak so quickly.
Time Crisis 5 is scheduled for release in for a full international release around March - April next year. The only real details we can confirm about this machine at the moment, is that it will be a deluxe cabinet with two 55inch screens, and that it has a specialized pistol and foot pedals which help move the character from side to side.
Considering the closeness of the release, keep watching for further updates on the machine as they become available.
