Over the weekend, Tekken 7 revealed their latest addition to the character roster, Lucky Chloe – a JPop chick wearing headphones, cat ears/paws/tail, knee socks and a mini-skirt. The reaction from Western gamers was fairly harsh (you can see the comments if you wish at the
NeoGAF thread, and in response one of the game’s producers, Katsuhiro Harada, trolled the critics by implying she and other characters would not be in the game’s North American version.
Katsuhiro Harada initial response included a negative stereotype of Western game saying, "Hello small world. I'll make muscular & skinhead character for you."
When someone on Twitter asked for the option to delete characters from the Tekken 7 lineup, Harada told them to "calm down and Don't worry. That character are East Asia and Europe ‘Exclusive.'"
Harada commented again with an even bigger troll, framing this as a matter of preference by a region or community regarding the entire roster. "It's YOUR community's choice. I'm just hearing the demand & request," he said, "Anyway, We are so busy because Tekken 7 development is not finish, we are working on arcade version first. I think we have planning time for this issue after development."
Tekken Project game designer Michael Murray confirmed that Harada's comments about restricting Lucky Chloe and the possibility of customizable rosters was some hardcore trolling on the part of the producer
