Harry Levy Amusement Acquired Crown Leisure
On June 16th, the U.K. game maker Harry Levy Amusement Contractors Ltd. acquired Crown Leisure Limited from Cuerden Leisure Limited. The acquisition will see Crown Leisure operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Harry Levy.
Crown Leisuire is led by Managing Director Dean Harding and is one of the U.K.'s largest distributors of gaming and amusement coin-operated machines. They also operate a number of adult gaming centers and family entertainment centers located in holiday parks, piers and seafront locations around the U.K.
"I would like to thank Cuerden Leisure and Hemway for the last 12 years that I have had the pleasure of working for them," said Harding. "During that time the market has changed enormously, and while there have been some challenging times, the support from Hemway and the Hemming's family has always been superb."
Talking about the future, Harding added: "The outlook for us as part of Harry Levy Amusements is very exciting. We have a strong team at Crown and with the support of a new parent company with the coin-op business at its heart, it will allow us to step up to the next level, investing into all the new opportunities that lie ahead".
"We have worked with Crown as a customer for many years. During this time we have grown to respect their collective knowledge, ability to market and sell games, and the outstanding quality and high standard of their machine operation," said Harry Levy. "When the opportunity arose to acquire Crown it didn't take any time for us to make a decision. I am delighted to have Dean and his team on board, and both Matthew Deith and I look forward to working closely with them to take our business forward."
It will be wonderful to see what these two heavyweight companies can achieve together.
