New HTP Technolust Video For Arcade Prototype
'HTP - Technolust arcade game prototype.' is the title of a new video published to YouTube on July 26 (by user LordNapalm) which shows one player shooter style game, placed in a minimalist, techni-coloured cyber world.

The videogame is tied to Iris VR’s Technolust title, which there is still very little information for.

The player is a lone shooter who has to shoot their way through a series of rooms, via doors, jumping platforms, and telepoprtation devices; and each room contains enemies keeping guard, the key cards you need to collect, computerised weapons that you can control via remote consoles in the game, and the teleporters.

The game has really taken it back to basics with this strategised shooter - players will need to think about each move and how they will take down enemies in order to progress.

My favourite part of the video below though, is the cyber-punk style music playing in the background. It fits the style and the mood of the game perfectly, and will be a great way of enhancing player immersion.

The video is taken from the mini-game built into Iris VR’s Technolust which is being designed for Oculus Rift, and is the big brother of Technolust Scanlines which is coming to the HTC Vive and Project Morpheus head-mounted displays (HMD).

As the title would indicates, this video is of a prototype, so it will be a while before we see something from this yet.

According to VRFocus, who has been consistently repoerting on this project, the "Technolust franchise is set in a dystopian, cyberpunk sci-fi future that’s run by corporations. In the original title, players will be able to explore this world, even joining a resistance to fight back against these company’s control. It is also possible to take part in a range of extra activities such as visiting arcades."

Watch this space for more updates, and in the meantime you can check out the video below:
