Namco continues it's celebrations for Pac-Man's 35th anniversary, as Namco USA Inc.'s Level 257 gets ready to host the world's first Pac-Man-inspired art and fashion show.

Celebrating PAC-MAN’s 35 Years With ‘Art & Fashion Arcade’ by Students of The Illinois Institute of Art – Schaumburg – Wednesday, October 8, 2015
SCHAUMBURG, IL (October 8, 2015) – Worldwide gaming phenomenon PAC-MAN™ was born in 1980, and this year the highest-grossing video game of all time has been celebrating it’s 35th birthday. Level 257TM, NAMCO USA INC.’s newly opened dining and entertainment concept inspired by PAC-MANTM, was the proud home of the official worldwide birthday party in May and will finish off the celebrations with the world’s first fashion and art show inspired by PAC-MAN™.
Students from The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg will showcase their creative take on PAC-MAN™ as a pop culture icon; exploring his significance to our world, history, and their own personal stories. A one-of-a-kind fashion show will top off a night of art appreciation at the appropriately dubbed ‘Art & Fashion Arcade’ event, taking place on Thursday October 8th at Level 257™, from 6pm.
A number of students from The Illinois Institute of Art-Schaumburg are organizing the event, including Interior Design, Graphic & Web Design, Fashion Design, Fashion Marketing and Animation students. “Our students are all so excited,” says Andrea Kolasinski Marcinkus, the campus’ Fashion Program Coordinator. “Level 257’s desire for something artistically out-of-the-box has opened up the possibilities for some incredibly exciting work. I really can’t wait to see how they create the event and the amazing pieces.”
“We are so happy with the wonderful reaction from the students to this idea,” Natalie Couzens, Level 257’s Marketing Manager adds; “a lot of people around the world are excited about such a unique show.
“This will be an amazing end to a year of celebration, with our opening in March, and the huge success of PAC-MAN’s™ 35th Birthday Bash in May.”
