Liseberg CEO Andreas Andersen To Lead IAAPA in 2018
IAAPA’s Board of Directors have named Andreas Andersen, Liseberg Group CEO and president, to lead as its second vice chair for 2016, first vice chair in 2017 and then chair in 2018.
Andersen first became involved in the amusment and attractions sector in 2001, and in 2002 worked as Denmark's Tivoli amusement where he held the position of executive assistant/company lawyer until 2004, then vice president and Chief Operating Officer until 2008.
He then entered the IAAPA circle when he began working at the regional office in Europe, where he was heavily involved with the management of the Euro Attractions Show (EAS). Andersen managed membership sales and services, programme development, government affairs, and managed the running of EAS until he took up his current role in 2011.
"Andreas' industry knowledge is deep, and he has strong relationships with a number of key leaders worldwide. These attributes, combined with his strong and enthusiastic commitment to the global attractions industry, will make him an excellent leader for IAAPA," said Roland Mack, managing partner of Europa-Park in Rust, Germany, and chair of the IAAPA Governance Committee, the member-led group responsible for nominating the second vice chairman to the board of directors.
Andersen has also been involved in a variety of Ministry positions, including his service as Deputy Manager for the Danish Agency for Governmental Management and principal, and Case Officer for The Mortgage Bank of Denmark - all within the Ministry of Finance.
Congratulations to Andreas Andersen on his new position within IAAPA!
