Tekken 7 Update Unveiled At King of Iron Fist Tournament
A new Tekken 7 update has been announced during the award ceremony of the KING OF IRON FIST TOURNAMENT 2015 final, titled Tekken 7 Fated Retribution.
A trailer for the update has been released and reveals a big surprise: joining the line-up of Tekken 7 will be Akuma from Street Fighter! He is the character in the dojo with Kazumi in the Tekken 7 introduction trailer, which everyone believed was Heihachi. Kazumi asks Akuma to take Heihachi down if she doesn’t survive the battle, and he accepts stating, “As you wish. When the time comes, I will repay my debt to you.”
Fans are curious to know more about Akuma’s connection to the Tekken series and this apparent debt to Kazumi. It is likely something to do with the Devil gene; a conclusion which can be reached from the emphasis on Akuma’s glowing red eyes, his name meaning Devil (he is also known as Gouki in Japan, which loosely translates to ‘Great Devil’ or ‘Great Demon’), and the emphasis of the symbol on his back which apparently means ‘Heaven’. The video also shows some of Akuma’s moves, including classic Street Fighter moves and combos like dragon punches, hurricane kicks, ground and air fireballs, and his Shun Goku Satsu, or Raging Demon.
Tekken 7 Fated Retribution will bring better graphics, new characters and new costumes for all current characters, and new stages.
