Bandai Namco New Pokemon Arcade Game For Video Redemption Market
An interesting new machine from Bandai Namco Entertainment has hit the internet with very little information so far. A translation off BNE’s video published on the 11th of December gives us the title Pokemon Mega, however it is simply referred to as Pokemon Arcade at the moment.
Pokemon Mega/Arcade is a card redemption video game designed for younger audiences. The concept of game is pretty cool though and I’m sure many older fans would enjoy playing it too despite its intended audience – players get “Pokeballs” and throw them at the Pokemon on screen to catch them!
Players must try to catch as many Pokemon as possible within the time limit and will receive Pokemon player cards as their reward.
The game will include three stages, such as the Sea Stage seen in the video below, and players will have a choice of starter companions from Gen IV: Chespin, Fennekin or Froakie.
There’s essentially no hope of seeing this outside of Japan, which is a shame, because Pokemon is so big in the West and it would probably be a great draw card for many locations who cater to you kids and adolescents (and probably a few adults would want to get in on the action too).
