Since the 90s it was thought that the vertical shooter meant to be released by Atlus in 1993, Wing Force, was long lost; however, the prototype board was recently found and purchased in an online auction.
Wing Force was originally developed by a company called A.I for Atlus and, from reports on the game, is similar in gameplay to Blaze On (also developed for Atlus).
The prototype board runs on 16-bit Kaneko hardware and was found by an arcade collector, ShouTime, who topped the bidding war with ¥301,000 (over $3600AUD using today's exchange rate).
