French video game developer Pasta Games has announced that it will make its arcade title Pix the Cat available on Xbox One following its success on PC, Steam and the PlayStation platforms.
There are four modes players of Pix the Cat can play: Arcade, Nostalgia, Laboratory, and Arena.
In arcade mode, players race against the clock in an effort to save ducklings. The game’s star, Pix, must collect the ducklings without crashing his growing tail into any obstacles.
Nostalgia mode will be similar to Snake but with some twists. The goal will be to collect a set amount of ducklings but there will be different environments to master among the 70 levels.
Laboratory mode is a brain tester as gamers will try to solve 100 experiments without any time limit. Your results will be measured by the number of moves you make. Pix will continue to slide until stopped by a wall or his tail. During the sliding, players must try to grab all of the cells on their way and do their best to plan ahead for the upcoming cells.
The Arena mode pits you against your friends in a local battle to the death.
The game levels are described as a mix between Pac-Man, Snake, and Bomberman.
Pix the Cat will be available on Xbox One in early 2017.
