Korean game developer CFK has released a new patch for Wonder Boy Returns.
The new patch, released one month after Wonder Boy Returns was made available on Steam, will let users play as the current new Boy as well as the 1986 version retro Boy, and even select Tina as a playable character.
In this patch, the graphic and theme has been enhanced, and the UI has been tweaked to be more user-friendly.
Wonder Boy is a classic side scroller arcade game where the main character runs over obstacles, collect items, and defeats enemies. The main character is Boy, who must go on an adventure to rescue his girlfriend Tina from captivity.
The game originally appeared in arcades as a highly addictive side scrolling skateboard, rock jumping and axe bashing platform.
Wonder Boy became well-known for its high difficulty and intuitive gameplay style, and has gathered many fans all over the world.
In 2016, Wonder Boy received a HD remake and in October, Wonder Boy Returns was released on Steam. It was the first ever remake of Wonder Boy.
Wonder Boy Returns resurrects the classic Wonder Boy title with a new design of the hero, Boy, and heroine, Tina, along with various monsters to fit the current trend and be more likable by new users. It has returned with new art design, along with new elements to add more fun to the game.
