Simon McCarthy
Respected industry figure Simon McCarthy has joined Gauselmann Group subsidiary Betcom Games as managing director.
Mr McCarthy started his career in the industry within JPM.
He moved to Astra Games, as sales director, before joining Ainsworth (UK) Ltd and then JPM International as sales and marketing director, a position he held for almost seven years.
Most recently, in 2013, Mr McCarthy founded 24 Seven Gaming Ltd.
“We are very pleased to welcome Simon to head up Betcom, a division of the company which has grown to be one of the major players in the UK analogue Category C sector,” Sascha Blodau, general manager of Gauselmann (UK), said.
“He has the perfect set of skills to take Betcom even further in the future.”
Mr McCarthy said he ws “thrilled” to take on the new challenge and to join one of the biggest gaming groups in the world.
“Betcom has some fantastic product and I feel confident that I can grow their market share,” he said.
