Stern Pinball encores AC/DC pinball machine for a limited time
Stern Pinball’s popular 2012 table AC/DC Pinball Machine is making a comeback but for a limited time only.
The Illinois-based company announced last week it was reissuing back the AC/DC Pro and Premium pinball machines.
“The demand for the AC/DC machine was fantastic,” Gary Stern, founder, chairman and CEO of Stern Pinball, said.
“Fans were clamouring to order the machine after we sold out.”
Originally debuting in 2012, the AC/DC pinball machine honours the most legendary rock and roll band AC/DC.
The pinball game features 12 classic AC/DC hits including Back in Black, Highway to Hell and You Shook Me All Night Long.
Other game features include two separate ramps, a lower playfield, a ball-shooting cannon, eight drop targets, a mechanized Hell’s Bell and animations of the band.
Players can also join the party with a TNT detonator and the Devil’s Jukebox.
The AC/DC Pro features technology upgrades including LED lighting and a swinging bell.
Stern said the game will be made with a SAM board set and will feature the most recent version of AC/DC code available.
The vault premium will not be available in LUCI, but will be offered in a modified variation of the original premium art package.
Vault premiums are not scheduled to be made until late fall 2017.
A limited number of machines will be made.
The Pro version will cost $US6099 and the premium version $US7699.
