David Thiel, renound pinball designer for titles such as Pirates of the Carribean, The Hobit and Ironman (just to name a few) will be the guest star at Germany's annual Flippermania event. Taking place over June 2 and 3, David will be sharing his journey throughout his career, and has promised lots of time and seminars with himself at the event. This is the third annual event which is offering attendees a technique workshop, the latest star model pinball machines and a buffet meal. The event is resticted to 120 people, giving people the chance to get up close and personal with David to ask him any questions.
David has worked on around 50 different pinball titles throughout his career, starting on his first game; Gottlieb's Q-Bert's Quest in 1983. He later made the sounds for Spiderman, the composition in the ACDC game and worked on Heighway Pinballs Alien. For more information on the event, please visit pinballnews.com.
