Taking place in Chicago from October 1 to 5, the American Amusement Machine Association (AAMA) announced their total charitable donation at their annual meeting and gala. Over $141,000 was raised over a 1 month campaign to honor Bay Tek CEO Larry Treankler as well as over $16,000 at the event for AAMA's charitable mission.
Beginning in 1983, AMMA's charitable foundation distributes funds to children's charities for scientific, educational and charitable purposes. AMMA host several functions throughout the year to raise money for their charity. At the end of the gala, AMMA invited KEEN (Kids Enjoy Exercise Now), a charity the business supports to enjoy a variety of free-play and new machines.
Starting off slowly and progressively growing their contributions, AMMA was originally contributing around $10-20,000 a year to their charity. AMMA EVP, Pete Gustafson said their foundation gives people who want to contribute but don't know how the opportunity to do so.
