Facial Recognition Testing for Guest to Access Disney World
Disney World has been testing facial recognition technology on its guest at entry as a way to let visitors into its parks. This testing is expected to last until April 23 and is optional for guests. The technology takes an image of the guest's face and provides then with a unique number, which is then matched with the type of admission they are using to enter the park. To participate, visitors must have a Disney Park Pass reservation and a valid park admission. "At Walt Disney World Resort, we're always looking for innovative and convenient ways to improve our guests' experience – especially as we navigate the impact of Covid-19," the company said.
