Konami Increase their Holdings
Konami are in the midst of increasing their presence in the video game world, by buying a large part of the japanese game developer Genki, known for their racing games on the playstation 2 console.
This deal comes on the heels of Konami's recent dealings. Komani in has recently bought large stakes in other companies such as Hudson Soft(video games) and Takara(toy manufacturer) and the company "People", one the biggest operators of fitness centres in Japan.
In related news, Konami Computer Entertainment Japan Inc, will sell shares to the public in February. Konami hopes success of recent games like Metal Gear Solid 2 on the playstation 2 will garner strong interest for the shares.
