Cyberslotz Hits £3m Prize Level on Anniversary
Cyberslotz, RAL's on-line fruit machine experience, celebrated its first birthday in some style last week. The site, which went live on 1st August 2001, passed the 10,000th player landmark, an achievement which raised the total prize monies paid out by the gaming portal to in excess of £3m.

Cyberslotz has lived up to its claim of being "the best domestic site for online fruit machines" with the recent addition of Astra's Joker Reels, which represents the first game developed by a UK manufacturer specifically for the internet.

Reflecting on the first 12 months, Brian Morgan, managing director of Cyberslotz said: "We've gone from a standing start to achieving what is a very respectable level of registered players who are generating a consistent level of online activity."

"The site is all about content. Cyberslotz comprises a total of nine games, including brand new dedicated internet product such as Joker Reels alongside bedrock games such as Electrocoin's Bar-X. We have adopted a different strategy with all of the software unique to Cyberslotz and developed in-house, an approach which is paying dividends."

The fact that Cyberslotz operates alongside RAL's Quicksilver brand of adult gaming centres is, Morgan believes, an important bonus. He explained: "Obviously Quicksilver can drive business from off-line towards on-line and Cyberslotz can do the same in the opposite direction. In many ways it has proved to be a classic clicks and bricks partnership."
