For those interested in the world of interactive gaming in Europe, the place and time to learn of the latest developments will be at the European i-Gaming Congress and Expo at the Hotel Rey Juan Carlos in Barcelona, Spain October 15-16.
That's where the leaders of the industry will be meeting to exchange information on current issues effecting marketing, payment solutions, regulatory jurisdictions and emerging platforms for delivering gaming products. The event is a joint effort by ATE, producer of the International Casino Exhibition (ICE), and The River City Group, which organises the Global Interactive Gaming Summit and Expo (GIGSE).
A pre-conference seminar on October 14, focusing on Small Jurisdictions for i-Gaming, is being separately produced by Pannell Kerr Forster of Malta. It will be exploring such issues as anti-money laundering measures and internal systems controls as well as the optional government jurisdictions for internet gaming in the region.
The main event will kick off at 8pm on October 14 at a reception sponsored by Cirsa Interactive. The next two days will be action-packed with seminar speakers including over 30 industry luminaries. During this event, the exhibition hall at the hotel will be the site for a marketplace for services to this virtual entertainment industry.
The Small Jurisdictions i-Gaming Seminar will be highlighting jurisdictional information on small jurisdictions including Alderney, Gibraltar, Isle of Man, Iceland and Malta and is consequently the perfect complement to EiG Expo. Properly regulated European Jurisdictions have been the obvious choice of reputable i-gaming giants – attracting names such as Ladbrokes, Coral Eurobet, Victor Chandler, Action online, Sun International and MGM Grand. It also looks like more and more i-gaming companies are going to be attracted to these centres that offer well regulated and hi-tech facilities for clearing secure banking transactions.
Featured topics include: Tapping the Triangles - Working Together for Success; Understanding the Essentials - Anti-money laundering code, internal controls and identifying your customers; Broadcast Transmissions - Live action to your door.
Numerous experts in the field will offer their experiences and perspectives on the i-gaming arena. Key speakers include: Mickey Charles, President & CEO, The Sports Network; Tony Fontaine, VP, Station Casinos; Steve Toneguzzo, President & CEO, Global Gaming Services; John Cargnello, CEO, Technical Systems Testing.
