Incredible Technologies Encourages Industry to Consolidate Shows
Elaine Hodsgon, CEO of Incredible Technologies, released a statement today announcing that her company would not exhibit at the Amusement Showcase International next Spring in Las Vegas.

Hodgson, long a proponent of one industry show each year in the Fall, issued the announcement on the eve of the AMOA International Expo. The text of her statement follows:

After long and serious deliberation, Incredible Technologies has decided to stop exhibiting at the Spring ASI show. We have nothing but respect for the AAMA and all of its efforts to put on a great exhibition, but we feel it is important to concentrate our efforts on one main U.S. tradeshow per year. We will continue to exhibit strongly at the AMOA show, because of its operator focus and proximity to the strong fall buying season. We will continue to exhibit at distributor shows and open houses so operators can see our products as soon as they become available. We will also attend some of the smaller shows with AAMA using their Location Trade Show program.

The industry continues to consolidate. As a result, there are fewer exhibitors and attendees at both major U.S. shows. We believe that the industry must use its resources more wisely and carefully than ever, in order to build itself back up. Incredible Technologies spends a great deal of time, money and energy preparing for each tradeshow. We feel that we can serve the industry better by refocusing these resources to develop more and better products and services.

Many company leaders have agreed that a strong, single tradeshow would satisfy the needs of our industry, but they are reluctant to take that first step alone. Incredible Technologies encourages the AAMA and AMOA to merge their shows into one so that both organizations may share the burden and benefits.

Please consider the idea of working toward one great, well-attended, must-see U.S. Coin-Op tradeshow. One annual U.S. show would not only save everyone in the industry time and money, but it would also serve as a focus for a healthy and exciting exhibition of new and innovative products that will benefit operators, distributors, and manufacturers.

Sincerely,

Elaine Hodgson
President / CEO
