Visitors to ATEI 2003 are set to benefit from seeing an even greater variety of new products in January with no fewer than 34 companies from 15 different countries taking stand space at the international amusements extravaganza for the very first time. The figure represents just under 14 per cent of the total number of exhibitors (251) to have confirmed their stand space at ATEI by the beginning of November.

Whilst 44 per cent (15) of the ATEI débutants are based in the domestic (UK) market, the remainder are spread over a wide geographical area reaching from throughout continental Europe to Canada in the West, Taiwan and Japan in the East and Australia in the southern hemisphere. Spain leads the list of international débutants with three Iberia-based companies exhibiting at ATEI for the first time. Germany, USA and South Korea each have two first-timers, with the remainder coming from Australia, Austria, Canada, France, Hungary, Ireland, Japan, Netherlands, Poland and Taiwan.

ATE sales manager, Karen Cooke believes that the influx of new companies will further strengthen ATEI's reputation as the world's most important exhibition for new products. "The range of equipment being brought into the show by these new companies is vast," she announced. "The list comprises video games, gaming machines, children's rides, simulators, networked systems, touchscreens, pool and snooker equipment, compact sports, cranes, electronic darts, air hockey, vending, plush, novelties, soft play, cash handling, spares and components, security systems, as well as indoor and outdoor play equipment." Cooke added: "New products are the lifeblood of any exhibition and in important reason for attending. The fresh ideas and concepts brought to London by such a diverse range of companies from all over the world, not to mention the hundreds of new product launches from long-term exhibitors, will help to make ATEI 2003 one of the most vibrant and innovative shows on record."
