The Day of reckoning is coming…Friday 13th December 2002 marks the long awaited 3rd chapter in the series "House of the Dead". Behold the Gory truth that is House of the Dead 3. There is nowhere to hide!!
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd have chosen the scarily apt date of Friday 13th December to officially launch House of the Dead 3 into Europe. The game is the 3rd masterful chapter of the epic House of the Dead series. House of the Dead 3 takes you on a thrilling action adventure of cinematic proportions full of spectacular surprises and emotional encounters.
Twenty years have passed since "The Curien Mansion Incident", and the mad scientist's inhuman experiments have continued – but the doctor is long dead, so what tormented mind can be behind this gruesome trial? A festival of gore awaits you, so grab your shotgun and head into the depths of an apocalyptic nightmare the likes of which you have never seen before.
Sega Amusements Europe Ltd – Sales Director, Paul Williams commented "This is a blazing arcade shooting action game woven with an intricate plot that takes the player on a journey through terrifying environments and the intricately detailed EFI research facility. The first production batch of games leave our factory in Wales on Friday 13th December, just in time for the busy Christmas period."
Take on the role of one of our heroes – Lisa Rogan, Thomas Rogan or G. The safety of the world is in your hands. House of the Dead 3 has a far more scary and exciting edge, introducing the Pump Action Shotgun that looks and feels like the real thing. Players can blast off the limbs of a host of nightmarish rampaging Zombies before they wreak havoc on the unsuspecting world. Alternatively one spread shot can blow apart several Zombies at one time. Ensure that you eradicate these vile creatures before they annihilate you. By using the shotgun, the player can feel the exhilaration of defeating a large amount of enemies. The shotgun has a wide range and depending on the distance and type of bullet, the enemy will be destroyed in many unique ways to maximise the variation in the game.
Aaron Gilbey – Sega Amusements UK sales manager commented "The two player feature enables you to team up with another to fight in this festival of Gore. No two games are the same; the variety of route's to choose ensures that the player is always challenged with a new story. This game an absolute hit, it is a Chicken Dinner Winner."
In each stage the player will fight against different types of vile creatures and a boss character. The boss character will appear at different timings in each stage. Some time it will appear at the beginning, some times during the middle of the stage and sometimes at the end. A new feature of this game is that the player can choose which stage they want to challenge next. This allows the players to use their own strategy in the game. However even in the same stage, the events will change depending on the sequence of stages that the player took to get there. This will ensure that the player will experience something new each time.
When the player goes further into the game, there is a point where they must change character. By changing character and using this Multi Player System the player can enjoy more depth of play. Each time the player finishes the game, the ending sequence will start. But each ending is different depending on what the player has been doing. This Multi Variety Ending feature will ensure that players come back time and time again.
State of the art graphic engine achieves smooth and realistic texture – models and produces stunning environmental effects – both complemented by an amazingly high poly count available only through CHIHRO technology.
