ATE, organisers of the Amusement Trades Exhibition International (ATEI) have confirmed that the 59th annual show, which takes place on 21st, 22nd and 23rd January, 2003 at London's Earls Court Exhibition Centre, is now completely full. The official announcement was made by ATE chairman, John Bollom during his address to the AGM of BACTA, the national trade association representing the British coin-op industry.

ATE chief executive, Peter Rusbridge(pictured left) believes that ‘sold out' signs send a clear message to the industry: "This is not so much a vote of confidence in ATEI as a robust sign of intent from many of the world's leading coin-op manufacturers and suppliers," he said. "With more space comes more product launches and in turn more opportunities for buyers to improve their businesses."

Rusbridge added: "The mood at October's Preview exhibition was extremely positive and upbeat. If this mood can be replicated in what is a more international environment then we are in for one hell of a show."

A total of 274 companies from 27 countries have reserved stands at ATEI 2003, which will occupy 11,300 square metres (121,588 sq.ft.) of net floor space in Earls Court 1. With two months remaining before the launch day, ATE has established a waiting list for companies still hoping to exhibit. This will only be possible in the event of any late withdrawals by exhibitors.

This is the first time in the exhibition's history that ATEI has been completely sold out and a waiting list introduced. Organisers believe that the opportunities offered by gaming deregulation in the UK, together with a resurgence in key product sectors are factors in the show's growth.
