Irish Trade to Remember Mary Openshaw
The Irish Amusement Trade will remember the late Mary Openshaw in a grave side ceremony in Kilkenny on Sunday 2 March 2003. Those involved in the trade and overseas visitors in Ireland for AmEx 2003 - The 24th Irish Amusement Trade Exhibition, are invited to attend a gravestone consecration ceremony in St Kieran's Cemetery, Hebron Road, Kilkenny.
Mary Openshaw spent much of here life writing about the international amusement industry, eventually retiring to live in Kilkenny, where she died on 14 August 2001. Many of her friends, especially those living in Britain, asked for such an event to be held, to allow them to bid a final farewell to a much loved colleague.
